Poetry Meets Biomedicine

What happens when poetry is enmeshed with scientific language? Is it possible to expose the language of scientific sub-cultures, and make that language accessible and inclusive rather than technical and exclusive? How is the engagement with the scientists visible, and how will it cast shadows across the poetry. What are the perceptual implications of presence and proximity within such collaborative creative practices?

These are some of the questions addressed by Poetry meets Biomedicine, a collaborative project between poets and scientists, curated by MA Creative Writing student Dorothy Lehane.

A launch event is being held on 10 October at 7pm at Keats House, 10 Keats Grove, Hampstead, London NW3.  Click here for further information and to book a place.
