Philip Vann will discuss Dorothy Mead’s work and give a personal tour of and response to Mead’s first solo exhibition in a public gallery: ‘Recognising Dorothy Mead: David Bomberg, the Slade, and After’, at Borough Road Gallery.
Philip Vann is a writer and art critic whose many publications include Dora Holzhandler, Cyril Power: The Complete Linocuts, Keith Vaughan, and Face to Face: British Self-Portraits in the 20th Century. He has written on Dorothy Mead’s work in both Face to Face and in the exhibition catalogue for Dorothy Mead’s Boundary Gallery exhibition in 2005.
