In this special Creative Writing Masterclass, three leading British crime novelists discuss the contemporary crime short story, and how to perfect the art of writing in the short form. There will be a buffet lunch where you’ll have a chance to meet the literary panel and pick up some tips on crime writing.
The event is free, including the lunch, but booking is essential as there are limited places.
Event is only open to students and staff at London South Bank University, so please register with your LSBU email.
John Harvey is most famous for his series of jazz-influenced Charlie Resnick crime novels, based in the City of Nottingham. He has won numerous CWA Daggers for his work. The final Charlie Resnick novel Darkness, Darkness is due to be published in May 2014.
Alison Joseph is author of the series of novels featuring Sister Agnes, a contemporary detective nun based in South London. Sister Agnes has also appeared in a drama series on BBC Radio 4. Alison has written about twenty works for radio, including The True Story and One Down, which was an interactive daily drama with input via a website.
NJ Cooper’s is author of several series of crime novels, including the Trish Maguire series. Her latest series features forensic psychologist Karen Taylor: No Escape, Lifeblood, Face of the Devil, and Vengeance in Mind.
